The other four examples are in the Winterthur Museum, the Peabody Essex Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The presentation will include a history of the Horne/Ballard cabinet and the generations of Andover descendants who cared for it, a comparative review of all five cabinets assigned to the Symonds Woodworking Shop and a demonstration of the tools and techniques used in 17th century New England wood working.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Our lecturer, Chris Nissise, is a furniture maker and green woodworker. He builds custom furniture and teaches woodworking classes throughout the year at his workshop in North Easton, MA. Chris graduated Suffolk University and from the cabinet and furniture program at the North Bennet Street School in Boston. He will be teaching classes in our woodshop and offering more lectures in the future.
