He has collaborated with Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Smithsonian scholars, and Anishinabe language elders alike. His song &ldquo;NDN Kars&rdquo; is a contemporary anthem of indigenous daily life. It has been the most requested song on tribal radio since its release in 1992. Cayoga First Nations actor, director and musician Gary Farmer is best known for his role as the spirit guide &ldquo;Nobody&rdquo; in the Jim Jarmusch film Dead Man, starring Johnny Depp. Farmer&rsquo;s other prominent roles include Philbert Bono in Powwow Highway, and Arnold Joseph in Smoke Signals.
