Untitled Ash Davidson Doc

General Admission

Join the filmmakers for a special work-in-progress screening of Untitled Documentary, followed by a panel discussion with film's subject: Ash Davidson, the filmmakers, and health and wellness advocates. Untitled Documentary follows Ash Davidson, a transmasculine athlete whose experience with breast cancer began just as he was coming into a new relationship with his body and gender. The film explores what happens when cancer interrupts that journey, and asks what healing looks like when the body itself becomes a site of profound change. Following the screening, the filmmakers, Ash, and invited guests will discuss health, wellness, and quality-of-life issues at the intersection of cancer survivorship and gender identity, and how community shapes healing and recovery. The event will take place at DAWA, an Austin nonprofit whose mission is to honor, celebrate, and empower BIPOC community frontliners through direct financial support and culturally relevant, health-centered programming. Admission is free with registration required, and attendees are encouraged to donate to support DAWA's work in the spirit of "giving to the givers." This is a work-in-progress screening and an opportunity to experience the film before its completion while joining an open community conversation.
