• March 30th - Learn How Elections Work
• April 6th - Learn How to be a Chief Stakeholder of Your Government to Secure Election Operations

You'll gain the skills to participate in the legislative process from the comfort of your home and even be empowered to show up and participate in public comment! You'll learn the ins and outs of the legislative process and know how to spot the shenanigans that brew throughout the session and what are the steps to help keep your legislators in line with your values and keep their promises!

Plus, you'll get a high-level overview of how elections operate in Arizona. Did you know we have one of the most decentralized systems in America compared to most states? Learn how this helps keep our election administration local to empower the citizens to make the biggest difference in securing our elections! We'll also deep-dive into how election roles are divided between the Maricopa County Recorder and the Board of Supervisors and how you can participate to save our election administration in future elections. The work starts now!

Finally, in the third class, you'll learn more advanced skills for being a chief stakeholder in your government. Learn who the players of influence are in the government and what you can do to ensure that the people are the bosses of their government and not the special interests who profit from corruption!

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Merissa's private sector professional experience includes 20 years in the supply chain with a focus on developing master data management, data integrity, chain of custody and traceability standards. Merissa also has national experience leading and conducting data integrity and supply chain audits. She's the co-founder of EZAZ.org - One of the Largest AZ Grassroots Groups registering over 3500 voters on the Legislature's Request to Speak System. She's also organized a tremendous voter education effort in 2024 engaging in 7.5 million voter contacts and helping hundreds of thousands of voters to cast their ballots who otherwise would have faced challenges.
