On Monday, September 1st, WRFG will present its 40th Annual Labor Day Blues Barbecue. To make this milestone concert extra special, we&rsquo;ve assembled an exceptional lineup of premier blues talent. For starters, one of America&rsquo;s top blues and soul vocalists, multiple Blues Music Award winner John N&eacute;meth. This year&rsquo;s honoree is a young, generational talent, the pride of Greenville, Georgia, country blues guitarist Jontavious Willis. Our 2025 Blues Barbecue will be headlined by another IBC winner, Alligator recording artist Selwyn Birchwood, an adventurous, powerhouse guitarist who takes the blues in exciting, new directions with his captivating, originals songs. Blue Velvet Atlanta, winners of the 2025 Atlanta Blues Challenge have joined the lineup! This WRFG event will be held at The Park Tavern in Piedmont Park. Their doors will open at noon. The music starts at 1:00 and goes on until 7:30/8 p.m. $30 advance tickets are now available. They will be $40 the day of the show. Kids 12 and under are free.
