Join us at Al Falah Center for a powerful and interactive workshop centered on the importance of Muslims telling their own stories. Through an engaging author panel and hands-on creative writing session, this event will explore how storytelling shapes identity, builds confidence, and serves as a tool for representation and change. We are honored to host Ali Muhammad Rizwan, award-winning author of the first Muslim superhero story Metal Ghost and its companion novel Lady Nusaybah. A recipient of NYC&rsquo;s Big Book Award and the 2024 Forky&rsquo;s Reader Choice Award, he brings a dynamic perspective on writing as a true &ldquo;superpower.&rdquo; Joining him is Rabia Hakim, a valued member of our community and published children&rsquo;s author, known for works such as The Guardian Cat, which nurture identity and values in young readers. The program will include a moderated panel discussion, audience Q&amp;A, and a guided creative writing workshop where participants will reflect, write, and (optionally) share their own stories in a supportive environment.&nbsp; Whether you&rsquo;re an aspiring writer or simply looking to explore your voice, this workshop is designed to inspire and empower. Open to youth (12+) and adults. No prior writing experience needed. Light refreshments will be served.
