Pittsburgh's Public Source

General Admission

Just neighbors talking about what matters, what gives them hope, and whose stories deserve more room. Come share a bite and a beverage, meet someone new, and take a moment to celebrate the people and work giving us something to feel good about. Pittsburgh’s Public Source You Have the Floor and Fourth Economy’s Agents of Change are teaming up for a different kind of happy hour. We want to hear about the people, ideas, and work making a difference across the Pittsburgh region and Southwestern Pennsylvania, especially the stories and efforts that do not always get the attention they deserve. Throughout the evening, you can add your thoughts to listening boards, talk with Public Source journalists about stories that should be told, and connect with people doing meaningful work across the region. We want to know:

What gives you hope right now?

Who is doing work that more people should know about?

Whose story needs more space?

Fourth Economy will also celebrate our inaugural Agents of Change Awards, recognizing people making a difference in three ways:

Creating Opportunity: Opening doors to good jobs, growing local businesses, and helping more people share in the region’s economic future.

Building Better Communities: Improving housing, transportation, health, belonging, public spaces, and the everyday experiences that shape how people live.

Turning Ideas Into Change: Helping organizations follow through, work with purpose, and make things happen that people can actually see and feel.

We will gather the stories, ideas, and moments worth celebrating throughout the evening; after the event, everyone who attends will receive a short takeaway capturing what we heard, what inspired people, and what deserves to be carried forward. *** *Agent of Change, noun: A person or organization that sees possibility, brings people with them, and helps something meaningful take shape. At Fourth Economy, Agents of Change are collaborative, creative, and generous with their influence. They connect people, make room for others, and help good ideas grow beyond any one person. Change is rarely a solo act. The best of it gives more people a chance to contribute, grow, and carry it forward. Know an Agent of Change? Nominate someone before the event who is creating opportunity, making communities better, or helping good ideas work. Tell Fourth Economy who they are, what they are changing, and why their work deserves to be seen by completing this form. *** Space is limited.
