🌿Join us for an evening in the gardens of the historic Maysonnave House &mdash; good company, live music, and a toast to the work of preserving Sonoma&#39;s history. Wander the garden with a glass in hand, mingle with your fellow members, and enjoy hors d&#39;oeuvres around the fountain. At 5:15, we&#39;ll come together for a current overview of League activities and for the presentation of this year&#39;s Preservation Awards, honoring those who&#39;ve helped keep Sonoma&#39;s character intact. This year&#39;s plaque awards will go to the City of Sonoma for its preservation of the Carnegie Library Building on the occasion of the 125th Anniversary of the founding of the Sonoma Valley Woman&#39;s Club who was responsible for securing the funds to construct it. Another plaque award is being presented to Les and Judy Vadasz for their earlier restoration of the historic Carriger Barn on their property. This plaque award replaces a paper one presented earlier in 2011. Additionally, there will be two separate Sonoma League Angel Awards presented to Rob Wilson, a local contractor, who is donating materials and labor for the construction of a new storage shed on the Maysonnave Property and to Mayor Ron Wellander for bringing Rob Wilson to the League. Bring a friend (future member!), bring your appetite for good stories, and come celebrate a year of preservation well done.
