Thanks for joining us for this exquisite concert and fellowship on Tuesday. February 18, 2025 at 7:00 pm at the home of Ron and Deb Charron in Jupiter as we continue to bring the hope of the gospel and excellent music to the community! The vocal ensemble, Za5, was established in 2016. Their home town is Vyskov in the South Moravian mountains of Czechia. They perform concerts all around the Czech Republic and this past summer made their international debut performing in Switzerland. They have won several national awards in singing competitions, among others the gold medal at the Jirkovský Písňovar (2018 and 2021) including a special prize for an original author's arrangement. In 2023, they competed at the Festival of Songs, the largest choir festival and competition in Czechia and won the main prize in the Vocalis Bellus ensemble competition. (This is where they met Pastor Michael Sust, who was the Chairman of their competition jury and invited the group to perform in South Florida!)   The group consists of Kateřina Vašíčková (soprano), Monika Ovčáčíková (soprano), Markéta Jiříčková (alto), Martin Pospíšil (tenor), Ondřej Vašíček (bass-baritone), Tomáš Béza (bass-baritone, beatbox).    The artistic director is Kateřina Vašíčková. She studied opera singing at Janacek Academy of Music (JAMU) in Brno and was a soloist at the Moravian Theater in Olomouc. She is an accomplished choir director, voice consultant and lecturer. In addition to being the artistic leader of Za5 (and a mom of three children), she is also the arranger of most of their repertoire and the soul of the whole group.
