Theta Omicron Chapter sponsored its first Golf Tournament in 1975. In 1990, the tournament was renamed the Loftus C Carson Memorial-College Fund Golf Tournament in honor of the well-known Rochester human rights advocate and humanitarian who was instrumental in the tournament’s founding and its success until his untimely death in 1989. Through this event, the Theta Omicron Scholarship Foundation has contributed more than $620,000 to the UNCF effort.
