This year’s event will take place on Wednesday, August 10th at the Heritage Pavilion (300 Hunter St. E.), and will pay tribute to Elizabeth Stone, Indigenous Knowledge Leader at Fleming College; Sarah Lewis, Anishnaabe Kwe (Ojijbwe/Cree) spoken word artist and inaugural Poet Laureate for Nogojiwanong/Peterborough; and Marisa Mackenzie, EFry volunteer and local activist. Hello Prénom Nom, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our 6th annual Rebel With A Cause fundraiser! The Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough is a not-for-profit organization that provides gender-responsive services and programs which focus on community interventions for individuals who have been or are at-risk of being criminalized due to poverty, mental health, addiction, and domestic violence. The funds raised from this event are essential for Elizabeth Fry to continue to offer these programs to those who have been victimized, criminalized, or institutionalized.
