<span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap">Worlds Elsewhere is proud to present Thomas Dekker and Thomas Middleton’s Jacobean comedy of irony based on the life of the norms-defying, cross-dressing ‘Roaring Girl’ Moll Cutpurse, with director Sam Marchiony adding a modern ‘be gay, do crimes’ spin.  <span style="font-size:11pt;font-family:Arial;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap">Roped into a fake courtship by lovers Sebastian and Mary, Moll deals with a spying servant, chaotic youths, law enforcement, and other thieves, holding her own with a wit as sharp as her blade. Elsewhere in the city, the merchant class and their spouses have their own relationship drama, fueled by the advances and schemes of the gallants, including another fake engagement plot. From <a href="https://www.rescue.org/article/how-does-irc-respond-emergency-ukraine" target="_blank">the IRC</a>:<blockquote>For almost 90 years, the International Rescue Committee (IRC) has been responding to the world’s worst humanitarian crises. When a new crisis strikes, the IRC’s emergency team swiftly activates to determine the most effective way to reach people in need. Our response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, which has killed thousands of civilians and displaced millions of people so far, is no different. Our team quickly deployed to neighboring Poland, where we are working with partners to assist arriving refugees. We are also working with partners inside Ukraine, supporting the evacuation of women and children and providing emergency aid to people who had to flee their homes.</blockquote>Worlds Elsewhere will be splitting the proceeds of the show, donating 100% of profits (and at least 75% of the box office take and donations during the week after the show) to the IRC. Worlds Elsewhere is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, 100% of your tickets/contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
