A Siamese cat sits in the foreground next to a red bowl, with a black food dish and a grey pet carrier in the background.

We called her “Grumpy Grace.” But this little girl had a reason for keeping everyone at a distance. In August, Grace was found limping in Laredo at just six months old. She was taken to Laredo Animal Care Services, where she received treatment for her limp and was spayed. SOS Cat Rescue then brought her into our rescue and placed her in a foster home. But Grace struggled to settle in. She didn’t bond with her foster, and her difficult behavior eventually led to a transfer into the care of our Assistant Director, Carrie.Carrie quickly recognized that Grace’s behavior was telling us something: she was hurting. What appeared to be a hernia near her spay scar needed veterinary attention, and Grace underwent surgery costing $608.85. Grace couldn’t tell us where it hurt. She could only show us through her behavior.  Thankfully, someone listened. Please help SOS Cat Rescue cover Grace’s $608.85 surgery bill. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us care for Grace and continue showing up for cats whose pain might otherwise go unnoticed.Thank you for giving this little girl patience, compassion, and a little grace. 🐾

A Little Grace, A Lot of Pain: Help Cover Her Surgery
