A place to sit, togetherFor a while now, there hasn't been a real place to practice Zen here, so we decided to build one. Beginning September 6, 2026, we sit every Sunday morning at the Cancer Survivors Park Center for Hope & Healing. The Greenville Zen Center is just beginning. Starting something like this is humbling, and it turns out a quiet room for meditation needs a surprising amount behind it. Cushions and mats for people to sit on. Bells to open and close our sittings. Small gifts to thank the teachers and speakers who give us their time. And the less romantic stuff too: filing fees, paperwork, the ordinary costs of becoming something official and lasting.None of it is glamorous, but all of it is necessary, and after years of there being nothing like this nearby, it feels worth doing right. If this is something you've wished for too, here's how you can be part of it:

Give what you can. Every amount helps cover the real, practical things we need to open our doors and keep them open.

Tell someone. A community grows by word of mouth. If you know someone looking for a place to practice, send them our way.

Lend a hand. Setting up takes more than money. Your time and skills are just as welcome.

Thank you for helping us build something that lasts. We hope to see you on the cushion. In Gassho

Cuéntaselo a alguien.
