What happens when women who have survived the hardest things decide to lead? FundaJefeHogar happens. Founded by and for female heads of household, this organization has been fighting for gender justice, legal rights, and economic independence in one of Colombia's most vulnerable territories — not from the outside, but from within. <img src="https://res.cloudinary.com/hxn9dbuhd/image/upload/v1783375852/wysiwyg/jjcjrdg4o2df5gvq9iux.jpg" style="width:214px;display:inline-block;vertical-align:bottom;margin-right:5px;margin-left:5px;text-align:center;padding:0px 1px;max-width:100%" /> They offer legal support for survivors of violence, children's programs, self-defense and entrepreneurship workshops, and a deep commitment to preserving their community's ancestral knowledge and cultural heritage. Across Buenaventura and Colombia's Pacific region, they've been building opportunities for women and families — including a new women-led productive unit in the rural community of Guadualito. Now they need us. After the recent earthquake, FundaJefeHogar suffered damage that has affected the spaces where they carry out this work with their community. At Pazsos International, we stand with FundaJefeHogar during this difficult time. Your support can help them repair what was lost and continue standing with the women and families who depend on them. ❤️Donate here and help FundaJefeHogar move forward.
