Cispus: Can we make it happen? The families and educators of Winlock Miller Elementary School, together with the Winlock Student Community Advocates (WSCA), are working to establish a life-changing tradition for our students: the opportunity to attend Camp Cispus Outdoor School as a capstone to their elementary experience. Why this matters? For many students, Camp Cispus is their first experience away from home in a supportive, structure environment. It's where they:* Build independence and confidence* Strengthen friendships and learn teamwork* Connect with nature through hands-on outdoor education* Develop resilience and self-reliance before entering middle school These are lessons that simply cannot be replicated in a classroom. Students return with a stronger sense of who they are and what they can accomplish. How your donation helpsYour contribution will:* Help establish Camp Cispus as an annual experience* Reduce costs so every family can participate* Support outdoor education, leadership development, and student growth* Build a tradition that future students will look forward to for years Our goalTo make Camp Cispus accessible to all students, we must raise funds to cover transportation, program costs, and ensure that no child is excluded due to financial barriers. This campaign is about equity, opportunity, and community ownership. It's about building something lasting-- not just for one class, but for generations of students. Be part of building this traditionThis is more than a fundraiser. It's a chance for our entire community to come together and create a defining educational experience for our children. If we build it together, it will last. Please consider donating and helping us make Camp Cispus a reality-- this year, and every year that follows.
