Wisconsin Roots Rising is a giving day built for the organizations that don't usually get one. On October 14, every dollar you give goes directly to grassroots groups and emerging nonprofits doing community-driven work across Wisconsin. These are organizations that are rising, building, and becoming what our communities need. They're neighbors, advocates, and changemakers who are just getting started, fiscally sponsored by Embolden WI and the Center for Community Stewardship so they can focus on their work while they grow. Your gift gives them a seat at the table. Start your page, share your story, and invite others to rise with you.

Break School Inc.

Break School Inc. honors neurodiversity as human diversity. On a working farm in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, made available by Growing Power founder Will Allen, we're building programming where neurodivergent and neurotypical youth ages 10 to 21 learn side by side, growing real food, running a real farm stand, and building the confidence to lead. What makes Break School Inc. different is that it doesn't treat neurodivergent learners as students who need to be accommodated into someone else's model. Our four-pillar curriculum in regenerative agriculture, authentic entrepreneurship, creative arts, and adaptive AI technology, was built from the ground up around how diverse minds actually learn best: hands-on, sensory-rich, and connected to real outcomes. Students don't just study farming, they harvest and sell what they grow. They don't just learn financial literacy, they manage the books for their own farm stand. That's the difference between a program and a proving ground. We're a young organization, incorporated in 2025 with programming just getting off the ground, and every gift today goes directly toward the things that make this possible: renovating our farm site, scholarship seats so no family is turned away for lack of funds, and building out our first program year. Your support on this Day of Giving helps us prove that when we stop asking different minds to fit one mold, everyone grows.
