Join us in the UC Theater at Western Colorado University for a screening and discussion of Colorado Experience: Return of the Wolf. In 2020, for the first time in American history, Coloradans voted to reintroduce a wildlife species to the state: the gray wolf (Canis lupus). In December 2023, new paws hit the ground, and the disagreements heated up. Return of the Wolf, a special one-hour episode of Colorado Experience, takes a deep look into the relationship between humans and wolves in Colorado, tracing their history from when they occupied wild lands across the country to their near eradication in the 1940s. The film examines the controversial and groundbreaking ballot decision to reintroduce wolves to the landscape. &nbsp; Following the screening, Emmy-winning Director/Producer, Author, and WCU&rsquo;s Filmmaker and Journalist-in-Residence, Julian Rubinstein, will moderate a panel discussion further exploring the topic. Admission is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
