Châle en crochet fait main par wipsandchainz

LXCL:Item DescriptionThis On Point Shawl is crocheted in Tulips Illuminated, a fingering weight yarn in a soft and breathable merino/nylon blend from Republic of Yarnia. Delivering spring-toned rainbows in the daylight and UV reactive yellows under black light, the On Point Shawl will have you keeping warm while serving looks regardless of the time of day. Republic of Yarnia is a historian and indie yarn dyer in Ireland who takes inspiration from Black figures in art history. The colours of Tulips Illuminated was inspired by a late medieval illuminated manuscript from an Italian Book of Hours featuring a gorgeous person of colour in a vibrant prayer room. “May the shawl made with it become armor of love for the person who wears it. Something soft and beautiful to wrap around yourself when the world feels hard, and a reminder that there are people willing to help each other find safety, freedom, and a place to belong.” - Republic of Yarnia Item Value: $200 Artist BioKaschelle is a disabled fibre artist who discovered crochet while bedridden with ME. Looking for a horizontal activity to occupy her time, she picked up a crochet hook and fell immediately in love. "We must fight in the ways we can, big and small, until we all have safety, freedom, and a place to belong." LXCL:Item Description8.75"x8.75"x1" framed watercolour and ink portrait of Dolly Parton. Item Value: $350 Artist BioJasonda Desmond is a self-taught textile and bioplastics artist and illustrator who uses visual storytelling to imbue her work with a sense of magical realism inspired by the living energy of nature – those seen and unseen elements of the earth that enmesh us with the universe and each other. Jasonda identifies as disabled, neurodivergent and queer. She was born in Texas, USA, immigrated to Canada in 2004, and is currently living in Burnaby, BC (hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ speaking peoples lands). Always creative as a child, Jasonda began her art practice by creating surface designs in Microsoft Paint as a teenager. In 2019 she transitioned her practice to ink and watercolour and cultivated a vibrant, graphic style of illustrating portraits and florals. In 2022, she started experimenting with textile-based jewelry and developing her own art materials from plant-based bioplastics. Jasonda is currently focused on creating fine and wearable art pieces made from her proprietary bioplastic materials and is seeking opportunities to collaborate with other artists and creators. "Dolly Parton's life and music has always been a personal and artistic inspiration for me. After hearing of her passing, I had planned to create a commemorative portrait of her. Knowing that she was a strong public supporter of the trans community, when I heard about the call for the auction, I felt that my portrait had found a home! I drew inspiration for this work from her freespirited song "Wildflowers", and like to imagine that if there is an afterlife, a style icon like her must be experimenting with amazing new hairstyles that go far beyond the limits of earth's physics." She bought it, picked up some needles and cheap yarn and the rest is history. She's a queer mom of two adult queer kids she's intensely proud of, and lives in a tiny apartment with her large collection of yarn and hand-knit sweaters. When not working, she loves taking her projects all over the world. Fun fact: knitting needles are TSA approved!! "I am privileged to live in a part of the US where my little enby/queer kids were able to grow up without being afraid to express who they are. Everyone deserves to live their lives without fear. Unfortunately, the current state of the world is terrifying, and I want to do what I can to help others feel safe."

LXCL:Item DescriptionInner landscape work is a deep tending of the client’s interior realms, tuning in to the somatic body through deep feeling, & moving in tandem with the inner language of the client. The client is held in a container & lead into their own inner landscape through intuitive trance to tend to parts of the body that are ready to show themselves & be supported. Utilizing the felt sense in the body we move deeper into where we are still holding energy, emotions, & stories that no longer serve the client’s current life. We most often will support who we call marginalized selves who have become stuck in the margins of our experience when they were not able to be their full expression of self & became stuck in the moment of an old story & a limiting decision they were forced to make. The heart of this work is to support these selves in a robust & intimate way that allows these selves to step back into their full expression & power to restore this energy back to the life force of the client— to restore them from the margins back to the center! Through this support the inner selves & the client are able to make new decisions & step back into their fullness. The meat of inner landscape work comes from daily life, & so with this work we are investigating the emotions, physical sensations, repeating feelings, & triggers that our daily life is presenting to us. With the body as the compass, clients may show up to an inner landscape session without knowing what energy they will be tracking. Folks can also bring particular sensations like “the feeling i will disappear when someone is upset with me,” “the rock in my stomach,” “the sensation it will all crumble away if i do not xyz," “the endless grief in my heart.” These are simple examples of the range of energies we are able to track & tend to in inner landscape sessions. Item Value: $400 BioForrest Sun (they/them) is a queer creature, care worker, shamanic practitioner, medicine maker, scribe of the natural world, bridge, and traveler of many realms. They are a founder of Transcendence Care Network and currently steward the care network to create containers of care and education on holistic care for trans people. Forrest’s life work has focused on practicing and embodying healing modalities that center indigenous perspectives and animist approaches to holistic ecosystems and bringing these skills and truths to their queer communities. "Because I believe in the work we are doing to radically support trans people in crisis and in states of transition and desire for this work to flourish in the world."
