Most Canadians are well familiar with Peter Mansbridge as the former anchor of The National,&nbsp;CBC&rsquo;s flagship nightly newscast, as well as his many years as the chief correspondent for CBC News. He has received well over a dozen national awards for broadcast excellence, including lifetime achievement recognition from the Academy of Canadian Cinema &amp; Television. He is an Officer of the Order of Canada, &nbsp;a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, distinguished fellow of the U of T&rsquo;s Munk School of Global Affairs &amp; Public Policy, as former two-term chancellor of Mount Allison University. His three previous books, Off the&nbsp;Record, Extraordinary Canadians,&nbsp;and Peter Mansbridge One on One: Favourite Conversations and the Stories Behind Them were all national bestsellers. He is taking part in StoryFest for the first time, visiting Hudson from his home in Stratford.&nbsp; A Noble Profession: Inspiring Stories of Teachers Who Shape Our World&nbsp; is an invitation by bestselling co-authors Peter Mansbridge and Mark Bulgutch to celebrate the impact and influence of teachers and the students whose lives they have changed forever.
