Frodo is a 14 year old Yorkshire Terrier who came to the LHS in terrible condition. His nails were overgrown causing him to walk with a limp, his fur was matted, dirty and overgrown causing irritation every time he moved, and he was underweight. It was clear to us that this small but mighty Yorkie had been braving it on his own for quite some time! Luckily, he was noticed by a kind and concerned animal advocate who scooped him up and brought him to the LHS! Frodo has since been groomed to remove his mats, his nails shortened to a comfortable length and is now rocking an adorable haircut! &nbsp;Unfortunately, this senior boy is in desperate need of extensive dental work. After seeing a veterinarian, it was recommended that he have all of his teeth removed. The current state of his teeth are causing him constant discomfort and makes it difficult for him to eat. If left untreated, his teeth will continue to decay which leaves him vulnerable to infection, abscesses, and further health issues.&nbsp;As a small non-profit organization who relies entirely on community donations, our allocation of funds towards each animal&#39;s medical care can be limited. We are humbly asking for donations towards Frodo&#39;s dental surgery which will allow him to live out the rest of his years pain-free!&nbsp;We have had many inquiries regarding Frodo&#39;s adoption status.
