As a new nonprofit organization, we are excited to announce our first educational event planning annual conference, a pivotal initiative that will benefit our members and the broader events industry. We invite you to support our mission by donating to our cause. Here’s how your contributions will be utilized - 100% of the funds raised will be allocated to the BEPA Generational Curse Breakers CMP Scholarship Program.This scholarship is designed to support Black event planner(s) who exemplifies excellence, demonstrates leadership in their community, and possesses other merits such as commitment to professional development and community service. Importantly, this scholarship is specifically for individuals who could not afford the opportunity to pay for the CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) certification on their own.  All donors will have the opportunity to vote on the nominees for this prestigious honor.  The scholarship will provide reimbursement for the application and exam fees associated with obtaining CMP certification, which can be a significant barrier to entry. The average costs associated with obtaining CMP certification are:  - CMP Application Submission Fee: $350 USD (non-refundable)  - CMP Exam Fee: $525 USD (non-refundable) (<a href="https://eventscouncil.org/CMP/Future-CMPs/fee-structure" style="text-decoration-color:initial;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit">https://eventscouncil.org/CMP/Future-CMPs/fee-structure</a>).
