Big Cheese Poetry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to giving poets in the PNW the chance to win some well-deserved cheddar! Through our monthly live competitions, three standout poets are selected by a panel of judges to be featured in an annual anthology. Unlike many competitions, Big Cheese Poetry has no entry fees for poets—making the path to publication accessible for everyone. Plus, our poets get paid for their work, a rarity in today’s publishing world. We’re on a mission to break the paywall and set a new standard for fair compensation within the literary arts. The Brie Blitz is a quarterly donation drive to stock up our literary fromagerie and help events like these stay... grate.  Here’s how your donation can help: $10: Helps with essentials like chair rentals, posters, materials, and printing.$25: Covers the prize for our 3rd-place poet.$50: Supports stipends for our amazing timekeeper, scorekeeper, and host.$100: Goes toward ensuring 1st place can stay cheesy!  Every donation, from $5 to $500, tips the scales in our favor, inching us ever-closer to our goal: the metaphorical 50lb wheel of cheddar and the very literal community support of uplifting local poets with the PNW.
