UPDATE 06/16/2026We have found a space that will work for our needs and is easily accesible; however in over to do this and do it quickly before we lose out on the opportunity &amp; can start set-up in stages we need to raise 10-15k to get started.&nbsp; We are looking for business sponsors as well to bridge the gap.We have applied to several grants for the things we can release/ do later down the road but if we can get the 15k we can get into the space and open the thrift store atleast. So we have reduced the target to 15k to get us to this stage.&nbsp; How Your Donations Will Be UsedWe are thrilled to announce our goal of raising $60,000 to open a new adoption center and thrift store in Abbotsford, which will serve as a vital hub for our mission to support and care for local community cats. This new facility will not only increase our ability to find loving homes for adoptable cats but also support a variety of initiatives that directly benefit our local feline population and the community. Funds raised will go directly to lease, utilities, renovations and retrofitting the space to fit our needs.&nbsp;Supporting Our Adoption Program With a dedicated space for adoption, we will be able to showcase more cats in need, increasing their visibility and providing potential adopters with a welcoming environment to meet their new furry family members. This will directly lead to higher adoption rates and reduce the number of cats that remain in shelters or on the streets.Creating a Sustainable Future In addition to the adoption center, the thrift store will serve as a critical fundraising tool to support the ongoing costs of our programs. By purchasing donated goods or making a donation, our supporters will help us maintain the facility, fund medical care, and provide food and supplies for our cats and the broader community.Launching the Food Bank Initiative Your donations will also help us launch our new food bank initiative, which will provide much-needed food and resources to families who are struggling to care for their companion animals/pets. This initiative is designed to ensure that no cat goes hungry due to financial hardship, allowing more families to keep their companion animals/pets instead of surrendering them to shelters.Strengthening Community Connections The new center will also serve as a central location for our fosters and volunteers, creating an environment where our network can connect, collaborate, and work together to save more lives. By providing a physical space for foster families and volunteers to gather, we will strengthen our community of supporters, ensuring we can continue to meet the needs of our local cats and their owners.Increasing Our Visibility and Impact By establishing a permanent presence in Abbotsford, we will significantly raise our visibility as an organization, allowing us to reach a broader audience and attract more people to our cause.
