Yes2Kollege Educational Resources, Inc. (Yes2Kollege) is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive future for healthcare by empowering local minority youth in Sacramento, California. Our flagship program, the Minority Health Professions Mentor Program (MHPMP), has operated since 2012 and provides life-changing mentorship opportunities. The Minority Health Professions Mentor Program (MHPMP) provides mentorship opportunities to African Americans and other students from underrepresented communities who aspire to careers in healthcare. Through the MHPMP, Yes2Kollege offers targeted mentorship and hands-on experiences in various healthcare career paths, such as physicians, mental health practitioners, nurses, and allied health. MHPMP empowers these students to pursue their dreams, addressing critical barriers to accessing educational resources, career guidance, and financial support. MHPMP has served more than 3,570 students, building a pipeline for the healthcare workforce. The program has established a supportive network of role models and helped many former mentees advance into healthcare professions. Through Yes2Kollege, a thriving community of more than 100 African American healthcare professionals has been built. These professionals provide mentorship and share their experiences, resources, and journeys while charting paths for the next generation of healthcare professionals. Our Impact:

More than 3,570 minority students served since the program's inception.

Over 242 site and virtual visits with health professionals in Northern California.

Forty former mentees have graduated from medical and nursing schools and are now practicing professionals and mentors.

The parents of 10 mentees have been accepted into medical and nursing schools due to their participation in the MHPMP program.

Twenty mentor nurses have advanced their careers and established the Capital City Black Nurses Association through networking and professional development opportunities provided by Yes2Kollege.

How you can help power our mission:

Donate: Every dollar counts.
