Chronic diseases cause 65% of mortality worldwide, contributing to 44 million deaths each year(1). Extreme weather makes these conditions harder to manage and more dangerous.Studies show that hospitalizations and deaths from chronic diseases increase after extreme weather events(2-4). These events also disrupt care by affecting access to clinics, medications, and transportation.What We DoARCH Collaborative's mission is to advance innovative, evidence-based solutions that build community resilience against chronic disease and extreme weather. We work together with communities to deliver solutions that protect their health during extreme weather.
