All About the Dogs Rescue is dedicated to rescuing at-risk dogs, providing them with essential medical care, training, and love to help them find their forever homes. Join us in saving lives and creating happy families for these deserving pets.

🌟 Help Mend Sandy&#39;s Heart! 🌟When Sandy came to us a couple of years ago, her previous veterinarian had heard a Grade 1 heart murmur. We spoke to her and, because it was so mild, she recommended monitoring it. &nbsp;She even thought it might be due to anxiety, since Sandy wasn&#39;t a big fan of visiting the vet. When Sandy was examined by our vet, when she first came into the rescue, the murmur wasn&#39;t heard and we breathed a sigh of relief. However, Sandy just saw the vet for her annual exam, and a Grade 3 heart murmur was present. &nbsp;That means that it has progressed. &nbsp;Our vet is recommending diagnostics that we need to get done - x-rays/ultrasound to visualize the size of her heart as well as the rest of her chest cavity, followed by an echocardiagram. The cost of the diagnostics, including a generous rescue discount, will be at least $1500 and we&#39;re asking for your help! &nbsp;These tests need to be done quickly, and our rescue&#39;s current medical fund is literally empty. &nbsp;We have NO funds that we&#39;re able to set aside for this! Sandy is about 7 years old and she is a happy, friendly, lovable, high energy dog. &nbsp;She loves to run and play. &nbsp;She loves long walks. &nbsp;And from prior experience, we know that most heart issues, if diagnosed and treated promptly and properly, don&#39;t interfere with a dog&#39;s ability to enjoy and live life. Please help us to get to the cause of this murmur so that we can initiate appropriate treatment. Sandy thanks you. &nbsp;We thank you. &nbsp;She is such a wonderful, deserving dog!
