Altered Tails Project

Altered Tails Project is committed to saving lives by reducing cat overpopulation through humane Trap-Neuter-Return, rescue, education, and spay/neuter support for low-income households.

Since January 1, 2026, Altered Tails Project has successfully spayed, neutered, and TNR'd more than 135 cats in our community. This is in addition to the 100+ cats funded through the City of Massillon, where we handled the legwork of trapping, transporting, and coordinating their care. Unfortunately, that city funding has now ended, leaving Altered Tails Project responsible for covering all TNR expenses moving forward. While we are incredibly grateful for the support we received from the city this year, taking on this much larger financial responsibility has stretched our resources extremely thin. We are absolutely honored to have been selected for a matching fundraiser of up to $2,500 through Modern Woodmen of America. This opportunity will make a tremendous difference and help us continue providing lifesaving spay, neuter, and TNR services throughout our community in the months ahead. If you're able, please consider making a donation today. Every dollar helps us continue getting cats off the streets, preventing unwanted litters, and improving the lives of community cats. We have until October 11th to raise the full $2,500 match! We are so incredibly grateful for your support. Thank you for helping us help the animals.
