Family Magic Night for Gaza

Maamoul Baking Class &ndash; A Cultural Ramadan Experience Join us for a special hands-on class where we will learn how to make traditional maamoul, the beloved Middle Eastern pastry often prepared for Ramadan and Eid. Our instructor, Zizi, will guide guests step-by-step through the process of preparing, shaping, and baking these beautiful cookies while sharing the traditions behind them. Guests will enjoy a relaxed afternoon of baking, conversation, and cultural connection. Zizi will provide all ingredients and baking tools, so guests can simply come ready to learn and enjoy. Each participant will also take home their own freshly baked maamoul.The&nbsp;$75 class fee goes directly to Zizi, who is generously sharing her time, knowledge, and family recipes with us. Light refreshments will be offered by the host. While the class itself is not a fundraiser, guests will have the opportunity to make an optional donation to support the work of Amal Relief &amp; Renewal Foundation, which provides humanitarian assistance to families in Gaza.

In Gaza, many children are returning to learning spaces without even the most basic school supplies. Some carry their books and belongings in plastic bags because they do not have a school bag of their own. Amal Relief and Renewal Foundation is partnering with Dr. Ali Dawas and his team in Gaza to help change that. Our first goal is simple: provide 200 children with a school bag and essential school supplies. 🎒 $35 can equip one child with a school bag and basic school supplies. Our initial goal: $7,000 for 200 children. For a child living through extraordinary hardship, a backpack is more than something to carry books in. It can bring a sense of dignity and normalcy. It tells a child that their education still matters and that people have not forgotten them. And we don&#39;t want to stop at 200. If we exceed our goal, we will continue providing bags and supplies to additional children as funding allows. 200 children. Then 300. Then 500. They are committed to giving their students a safe place to learn and hold on to hope&mdash;but the school lacks even the most basic resources. Students urgently need school bags, notebooks, pens, and other stationery. The school also needs chalkboards, tables, chairs, classroom supplies, and additional tents so it can accommodate more children.
