Peter H. Meier 12/12/1942 – 12/04/2025It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pete Meier. Pete was an institution in the Ahwatukee real estate market, having worked with Presley Homes at the inception of our community. His career spanned 48 years in the Phoenix area, during which he earned the distinction of REALTOR® Emeritus. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era and later dedicated himself to serving the Ahwatukee community as a respected realtor. At the same time, Pete volunteered as a key leader in the founding of Ahwatukee’s only local veteran organization, American Legion Post 64. As Post Commander prior to COVID, and during the operational shutdowns that followed, Pete never stopped serving veterans.Through his leadership, commitment, and persistence, he kept Post 64 alive and prevented it from closing, ensuring that veterans in the community continued to have a place for support, fellowship, and service.Pete leaves behind his beloved wife, Sigrid I. Meier, and his three sisters. No services have been announced at this time, per Pete’s wife, Siggy. She has asked that any donations be made to American Legion Post 64 in Ahwatukee.Pete was a devoted neighbor, friend, and Legionnaire. He will be deeply missed.A full announcement will be shared publicly.Direct your questions to our Veteran Service Officer for updates.Call/Text: 928-830-0085Email: [email protected] Legion Post 64 – Ahwatukee
