🎉 Excitement is in the air! As part of our Tall Tales &amp; Seasonal Stories events, we are back in the Summer School holidays to provide some fun and magic to families across Hampshire. Join us for two hours of interactive storytelling, crafts, songs and fun! Our first event in the holidays will be themed around everyone&rsquo;s favourite story - The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Andover Trees - Community Conservation Day - April

Bring a bit of the wild home. Reserve your Wildflower Home Planting Kit &nbsp;and help restore habitats for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. This is to reserve your free wildflower home planting kits which will be available to collect on the 8th April at Augusta Park Community Centre from 10:00am to 12:00pm. Each kit includes everything you need to get started: Wildflower seeds, seed tray, compost and simple growing instructions. Participants can nurture their seedlings at home over the summer before bringing them back to join our community planting day in October. By taking part, you&rsquo;re supporting Andover Trees United&rsquo;s work in environmental education and caring for local green spaces.

Tall Tales & Seasonal Stories – Ostara & The White Hare - Easter Half-Term

Egg decorating has been part of spring celebrations across Europe for centuries, symbolising renewal, nature and the arrival of brighter days. In this hands-on session, Jolanta will guide participants through the ancient method of wrapping and dyeing eggs using natural materials, creating stunning patterns and colours. Participants will learn the full process step-by-step &nbsp;from selecting leaves and flowers, carefully wrapping the eggs, through to the dyeing process that reveals beautiful natural prints. Each egg becomes a small work of art, inspired by nature itself. This is a slow, mindful craft experience, perfect for anyone who enjoys traditional skills, creativity and the calming atmosphere of the woodland cabin. Every year, Andover Trees United hosts a special evening at The Guildhall Andover to share the results of our annual biodiversity observations from The Diamond Wood. Join us for a special evening bat walk and survey as we head into the woods after dark to discover the fascinating nocturnal wildlife living above our heads. Using bat survey equipment, we&rsquo;ll listen out for bat calls and learn how bats navigate and hunt using sound in near-total darkness. This guided session explores the hidden world of echolocation and how sound interacts with nature when light becomes scarce. 🌙 Evening outdoor activity☕ Tea and coffee provided🦇 Bat survey equipment provided Lesson Focus: Learn about bat surveying, echolocation and the incredible relationship between sound, movement and the natural world. Although the results from session one were lovely, we thought we could do even better and Kanchi has spent time redesigning the cameras. You will head out on a slow, guided woodland walk using upgraded, handmade cyanotype &ldquo;cameras&rdquo; to create beautiful light images inspired by the world around us. Along the way, we&rsquo;ll think about how trees and other living things experience the environment differently and take time to observe the shapes, structures and patterns of native UK plants and wildlife.
