Aspire Ryde

Aspire Ryde empowers individuals in the community by providing essential support and opportunities. Through engaging events like the Duck Race, they raise funds to enhance lives and foster a sense of belonging among local residents.

Pier to Pier Walk brings people together along our beautiful coastline to support Aspire Ryde&rsquo;s work tackling social isolation and boosting community well-being 🚶&zwj;♀️🌊With thanks to our friends at The Steamer Inn Shanklin - the walk will start and finish&nbsp;This is a evening walk as part of Shanklin Carnival week, the walk is from Shanklin (site near the once Shanklin Pier) to Sandown Pier and back - walk is along the revetment is well lit and is accessible to all.&nbsp;On return the Steamer are providing burgers, kindly donated by WA Foods of Shanklin. A donation to the charity would be kindly accepted. All walkers get a medal&nbsp;the walk is to raise money for Aspire, Ryde working within the Island community&nbsp;&nbsp; Sign up below to join the walk, invite friends or family, and play a part in building a more connected Island community.

Island Highland Gathering brings people together for a day of Traditional Scottish music and dancing.&nbsp;This will be our 15th Gathering an original idea by Dr Kieron Cooney and his band Wight Hot Pipes.&nbsp;We have pipe bands from across the country coming together to pipe and drum, with Scottish Dancers, Scottish food, a whole day of fun and relaxation in a lovely setting at GG&#39;s, Island Riding Centre, Newport. We have outside arena and indoor theatre.&nbsp;Tickets are &pound;20 adults children under 18 Free&nbsp; All money raised goes to Aspire, &nbsp;based in Ryde but supporting venerable people across the Island with our Living Well Early Help Service, we provide community lunches, warm space, community groups, Music Hub, Soft play, Escape Room at our decommissioned church in Dover Street Ryde and Arch our shop in the High Street, Ryde.&nbsp;By coming along and enjoying this day you will be supporting Aspire.&nbsp;Our thanks to Red Funnel for their support with travel and Horsler lift services for sponsorship&nbsp;

It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there! 🎉 Dash and Splash is a 5k Run/Stroll along the beach from Shanklin Rowing Club to Sandown Yaverland Sailing Club - its a fun run raising money for a great cause, Aspire Ryde&nbsp;the tides are great on the 19th July so we can set off at 9am and be home for lunchadult registration is &pound;15 online &pound;20 on the day&nbsp; Every registration to this event will bring us closer to achieving our mission. Together, we can create a brighter, more compassionate world for all. Aspire Ryde's Isle of Wight festival Draw 2026

Our Annual Duck Race at Shide on 4th April 2026 is a fun-filled community event raising vital funds for Aspire Ryde. Families, friends, and local supporters are invited to sponsor a duck and cheer them on as they race along the river, with &pound;100 prize for the winner and plenty more prizes on the day.
