We are raising $8,500 to create a Wellness Room at L+M: a quiet, welcoming space where caregivers can step away from the demands of a shift, decompress, and restore their energy before returning to the bedside. Shannon Christian, our Chief Nursing Officer, put it simply:"This Wellness Room is more than a physical space. It is a tangible expression of support for the people who dedicate themselves to healing others. It communicates a powerful message: that the well-being of our caregivers matters."She also notes that professional nursing organizations increasingly recognize caregiver well-being as essential to a resilient workforce and to safe, high-quality patient care.
