Behind The Beet fosters community through hands-on cooking experiences at urban farms, promoting sustainable practices and food education while connecting people with nature and each other.

Join BehindtheBeet for a fun, hands on cooking experience at Cottonwood Urban Farm. Surrounded by gardens, chickens and ducks, we&rsquo;ll prepare a seasonal dish together while connecting through food and community.Bring your food scraps too! Our on site LA Compost hub helps complete the food cycle by returning nutrients back to the soil.

Nuestro centro de compostaje de LA en el lugar ayuda a completar el ciclo alimentario devolviendo nutrientes al suelo.

Cooking in Community brings us together around fresh, seasonal food. We&rsquo;ll harvest ingredients from the garden, prepare a simple, nourishing meal in our outdoor kitchen, and gather around to enjoy what we&rsquo;ve made. Hosted by BehindtheBeet at the Cottonwood Urban Farm, this hands-on experience follows the full cycle: from the garden to our plates, with food scraps collected for compost to nourish the soil again. Come chop, mix, taste, share what you know, and leave with ideas to bring home to your own table.&nbsp;

Cosecharemos ingredientes del jard&iacute;n, prepararemos una comida simple y nutritiva en nuestra cocina al aire libre, y nos reuniremos para disfrutar de lo que hemos hecho. Organizado por BehindtheBeet en la Cottonwood Urban Farm, esta experiencia pr&aacute;ctica sigue el ciclo completo: desde el jard&iacute;n hasta nuestros platos, con los restos de comida recogidos para el compost que nutrir&aacute; nuevamente el suelo.
