Walking out of prison doesn&#39;t automatically mean someone has somewhere safe to land.For people returning home, one financial barrier can stand between release and a structured recovery, transitional living, or reentry program. Deposits, entry fees, and other startup costs can be impossible for someone returning with little or nothing. Through Freedom Isn&#39;t Free, Beyond the Walls helps qualified individuals overcome those initial financial barriers and get their feet planted somewhere that supports the life they are trying to build. Where can I find recovery support? What do I do when everything starts feeling overwhelming? NEXT STEPS is a peer-led reentry community built around something simple: people with lived experience often have valuable knowledge to share with the person walking a few steps behind them. Through peer-led meetings, resource navigation, community connections, practical support, and shared experience, NEXT STEPS creates a place where individuals can identify barriers, talk honestly about struggles, learn what has worked for others, and continue moving forward. Donations help us build the meetings, materials, resources, and supportive services that turn reentry information into real-world help. You don&#39;t have to know every step ahead. Sometimes you just need help taking the next one.

For many of us with lived experience, there were seasons when we contributed to chaos in our lives, our families, or our communities. Recovery and reentry give us an opportunity to return to those same communities differently. We can plant. We can tend. We can restore. We can grow. Donations to Rooted in Purpose help provide plants, soil, tools, garden materials, improvements, programming, and the resources needed to develop and maintain Common Ground. We can&#39;t change every place we&#39;ve been&mdash;but we can choose what we plant there now.
