Help the BLYC strengthen the Birch Lake community. The Birch Lake Yacht Club is committed to hosting events that bring our community together, encouraging safe boating, and preserving the natural beauty of our lake for generations to come. The general fund is used for the operating expenses of the BLYC, including insurance, utilities, supplies, cleaning, maintenance, lawn care, etc. BLYC funds are NOT used to purchase alcohol for events.

Contributions to the Water Quality fund help us keep Birch Lake clean and beautiful. Donations help pay for regular testing, assessment, education, and invasive species treatment. Our goal is for 75% of the households at Birch Lake to contribute to Water Quality each year!

The BLYC HOA was formed in the mid-1990s to address issues and problems of property owners at Birch Lake, specifically the issues that are not part of the goals and mission of the Birch Lake Yacht Club (BLYC). The annual dues for the HOA are just $10.The HOA is a committee of the BLYC, but it is a committee with a separate and independent membership and board of directors and with its own separate finances which only the HOA can direct. The association often interacts with the BLYC and its various commitees (like the Water Quality Committee and the Safety Committee) on a variety of lake-related items, and HOA funds are occasionally used to fund or supplement BLYC funding when the goals and direction of the groups coincide.

Contributions to the Building Fund help us keep the BLYC building and grounds in good shape. Expenses include building repairs, maintenance, supplies, lawn care, etc.

Contributions to the AED fund help us maintain the six AEDs around the lake. The AEDs require annual servicing, including testing and replacing batteries, software updates, and occasionally replacing the storage case or AED components. Your donation helps us make sure that everyone on the lake has access to an AED in the event of an emergency.

Contributions to the Safety Fund help us provide signage, education, and other projects to improve the safety of Birch Lake.
