Everyone is welcome, free of charge and often there are live music performances and other additional attractions. Behind the Bombay Beach Arts &amp; Culture Center is an open lot. Wash &amp; Grow turns it into a self-sustaining system where every resource feeds the next. The insight is simple: laundry machines produce graywater. Graywater, properly managed, can irrigate plants. Plants, in a desert community with no grocery store, produce food. And the laundry machines themselves &mdash; run on tokens, using eco-safe soap made on-site and sold locally &mdash; generate revenue that sustains the whole operation. Add beehives. Add learning labs. Add the artists, the ceramicists, the coffee drinkers, the Sunday feast guests who already gather here.
