Register for the 2026 Rustic Ramble and explore the Capay Valley&rsquo;s farms and gardens The Rustic Ramble is a self-guided farm and garden tour that invites you to explore the rich agricultural landscape of the Capay Valley, from farm fields to thoughtfully designed gardens while meeting the growers (and some animals!) who steward the land. Along the way, enjoy hands-on activities, tour, and tastings, and and build a deeper connection to the vibrant Capay Valley! Meet local farmers and Capay Valley residents, learn about regenerative practices, and experience the Valley&rsquo;s agricultural diversity firsthand. Several sites will offer tours and other experiences. THE TASTE OF CAPAY PICNIC IS SOLD OUT!&nbsp;If you missed the picnic tickets, there are still so many places to eat in the Capay Valley. Including Good Humus (Pizza), Taber Ranch (Wine, pizza), Seka Hills (Deli).&nbsp; Taste of Capay Picnic &ndash; Enjoy a thoughtfully prepared picnic featuring farm-fresh bites crafted by local chefs and local beer and refreshments. Savor the flavors of the valley while soaking in the scenic beauty of the countryside. The picnic will be open 1-4:30pm at Polestar Farm in Esparto. Proceeds from the Rustic Ramble support Capay Valley Vision and Capay Valley Grown. Ticket prices will increase on the day of the event, so don&#39;t wait! Event Information This is a self-directed event, where you will be able to choose your itinerary and decide which and how many stops to visit. A ticket is not required to visit the locations. However, we kindly ask that you RSVP. Guests who RSVP will receive a digital map via email at least 1 week prior to the event with a complete list of open locations. Keep in mind, the nearest distance between locations may range from 3 - 15 miles. Please read information about each location carefully. Some locations may be cash only or have alternative hours. Please note that farms will not be conducting tours as part of this event. TIPS FOR THE TRAILS<ul fr-original-style="box-sizing:inherit;" style="box-sizing:inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">The trail will happen rain or shine! Please be aware of the weather forecast and dress appropriately.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">We recommend printing the map and directions, and/or taking screenshots on your phone, prior to departing for your tours as cell reception is not reliable in some rural areas. Some sites have hidden driveaway or turnoffs that come up quick on Hwy-16. Drive slow and alert!</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Bring cash for locations that are cash-only.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated and bring layers and protection for the sun or inclement weather.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Bring a cooler and basket or bag for purchases. On Sunday, October 4, you&#39;re invited to experience the heart of this region for the Capay Valley Grown Open Farm Day for a day of exploration, learning, and celebration.&nbsp; Farms across the valley will open their gates to guests looking to connect with the land, meet growers, and discover the people and practices that make Capay Valley agriculture thrive. Open Farm Day is self-guided &mdash; explore at your own pace. This hands-on event is perfect for families, food lovers, agricultural learners, and anyone curious about where their food comes from. There will be farm tours, demonstrations, activities for kids, animals, workshops, and farm stands.
