Join Capital Chamber Choir for &ldquo;Talbot&#39;s Path of Miracles,&rdquo; a powerful journey in sound tracing the historic Camino de Santiago. A pilgrimage in composition, Joby Talbot&rsquo;s Path of Miracles is a journey, as the four movement titles (Roncesvalles, Burgos, Le&oacute;n and Santiago) are the four main posts along the Camino de Santiago, one of the most taxing pilgrimage routes in the Roman Catholic tradition.&nbsp; Written for the exceptional choral ensemble Tenebrae, this is an hour-long a cappella exploration of the phenomenon of the Camino de Santiago &mdash; the ancient Catholic pilgrimage route across northern Spain to the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. The text comprises excerpts from historical and sacred documents in several different languages, alongside original material by poet Robert Dickinson. We&#39;re proud to offer a Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) for this concert.🎵✨

🎉 Excitement is in the air as CCC gets ready for their tour to BC and perform at the <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.podium2026.ca/en/singing-groups" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Podium Choral Conference &amp; Festival!</a> 🎉 We&#39;ll be performing premieres and returning works by a range of Canadian and international composers such as Ian Cusson, Andrea MacWilliams, Tarik O&#39;Regan, Soroosh Kahnemuyipour and more. Join us for a great evening of music as the perfect send-off for our tour!

CCC's send-off concert: From Capital To Coast

CCC presents Finnish composer Einojuhani Rautavaara&#39;s &quot;All-night Vigil&quot;: Vigilia: Vespers &amp; Matins by candlelight! This concert will explore the work as a stand alone piece that includes a rich basso profundi solo, soloists, and full choir performing a variety of textures and techniques, all sung in the Finnish language. Guests will enjoy this reflective performance surrounded by hundreds of candles!&nbsp; Fans of Rachmaninov&#39;s All-Night Vigil (Vespers) will surely love to see this performance live! &quot;As his inspiration, Rautavaara has himself described a visit to the Valamo monastery in the middle of Lake Ladoga in 1939: &lsquo;The bells began to ring, low-pitched booms and higher, shrill clinks: the world was filled with sounds and colors&hellip;&rsquo; The music is marked by dark colors, the heady smell of incense and the crepuscular church lit only by small candles. Divided into two parts, Vespers and Matins, the 70-minute work consists of 34 sections, and features prominent parts for a bass and a tenor soloist, as well as a number of solo voices emerging from the mixed choir. The work is enriched by the constantly changing combinations of choir and soloists, the perspective shifting from the personal to the universal.&quot;&nbsp;- prestomusic.com

CCC Presents: Rautavaara's VIGILIA

Join us for To Love &amp; Cherish, a special fundraiser concert and silent auction supporting Capital Chamber Choir&rsquo;s trip to Podium Choral Conferece &amp; Festival in May 2026! To make sure all our choristers can attend the conference and festival (and a Vancouver Island tour, stay tuned for more info on that!), we are excited to announce our first ever fundraising concert: To Love &amp; Cherish. Alongside the concert, we&rsquo;re having a silent auction featuring works from <a fr-original-style="" href="https://www.facebook.com/kettleholepottery" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: initial; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Kettlehole Pottery</a>. All proceeds will go directly to CCC. Listen to some love-filled music, then grab your sweetie some fabulous pottery for Valentine&rsquo;s Day! One of the perks of being a CCC member? You have a built-in choir for your wedding! We&rsquo;ve performed for at least eight members&rsquo; weddings over the years and we&rsquo;re delighted to share some of the stunning music they&rsquo;ve featured, including a world premiere, specially dedicated to their new spouse.
