Carteret County Humane Society is dedicated to protecting, sheltering, and promoting the adoption of homeless animals, ensuring they receive the care and love they deserve while fostering a compassionate community for all pets.

Paws, Paint &amp; Purpose: Shelter Animals Through Young Artists&#39; Eyes A month long art show bringing together local high school student artists, rescue animals from the Carteret County Humane Society, and the community to share the journey of shelter life through art.&nbsp; All proceeds benefit the animals at the Carteret County Humane Society while they wait for their forever homes. Join us for the closing Artists&#39; Reception:July 30, 2026&nbsp;3:00-5:00pmBeaufort Branch Library&nbsp;1702 Live Oak Street, Suite 100, Beaufort, NC 28516 Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Carteret County Beaufort Branch Library. Paintings will be available for pick up after the Artists&#39; Reception on July 30th if in attendance or at the CCHS Shelter after July 30th if not in attendance.

You couldn&rsquo;t fix your ex- but you can fix the problem of overpopulation this Valentine&rsquo;s Day! With a $50 donation, you&rsquo;ll receive an official &ldquo;Certificate of Neutering&rdquo; while helping prevent unwanted litters, support shelter animals and population.Simply donate $50 for each neuter and include your ex&rsquo;s name, the animals of your choosing, and your email to officially Neuter Your Ex!You heal. Everyone thrives. 💝 This program wouldn&rsquo;t be possible without the support of Protectors of Homeless Pets of Carteret County, who help ensure our pets are spayed and neutered before adoption!

Please join us for a Mah Jongg charity event benefitting the Carteret County Humane Society. &nbsp;CCHS is a non profit &nbsp;organization that prides itself on protecting, sheltering, and promoting the adoption of homeless animals. We will gather in the beautiful ballroom of the Coral Bay Club in Atlantic Beach. Light snacks will be provided. Beverages will be available for purchase. Cash only. Whiskers, Wags, & Mah Jongg

Meet Calvin. He came to us in January as a stray. This 5 year old sweet hound dog has dental disease. He is in need of major dental surgery. This surgery will help relieve his pain so he can enjoy the rest of his life, in his adopted families homes, which we are still looking for!! He is going to have the majority of his teeth pulled and would love any support to help with the process. &nbsp;He is scheduled to have his surgery at Austin Veterinary Clinic in Beaufort. Calvin is a typical hound dog who likes other dogs, enjoys the outdoors and loves a good toy. Our goal is to always take care of our animals so they have the best chance of getting their forever home!!Calvin appreciates any and all help, as do we.&nbsp;Check out this video of Calvin&#39;s trip to vet with one of our amazing volunteers.
