Before we hit the road together, we need a few details to confirm you understand the risks that come with Jeep events and trail rides. This waiver helps keep our events organized and our volunteers protected.By completing this form, you acknowledge personal responsibility for your vehicle, passengers, and decisions on the trail. Our goal is simple: enjoy Cedar Valley Jeep Owners events safely while respecting each other, our rigs, and the places we explore.Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & EnthusiastsAnnual Participation Waiver & Release of LiabilityValid May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027By signing this agreement, I acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating in activities organized, sponsored, or hosted by Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts (“CVJO”), including but not limited to trail rides, off-road events, highway convoys, meet-and-greets, charity events, camping trips, fundraisers, social gatherings, and all related activities during the term of this waiver (May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027).I understand that participation in Jeep-related activities involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:Vehicle damageMechanical failureOff-road hazardsPersonal injuryProperty damageIllness or deathActions of other participantsWeather, terrain, and road conditionsI acknowledge that I am voluntarily participating despite these risks.Assumption of RiskI knowingly and freely assume all risks, both known and unknown, arising from or related to my participation in CVJO activities. This assumption of risk includes, but is not limited to, risks arising from the ordinary negligence of other participants, organizers, volunteers, landowners, sponsors, or Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts.I understand and agree that this assumption of risk and the release below do not extend to gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, or intentional acts, and apply only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.I certify that:I am legally licensed to operate my vehicle if driving.My vehicle is insured and in safe operating condition.I will operate my vehicle responsibly and follow all applicable laws and event rules.I understand that off-road activities may place stress on vehicles and drivers beyond normal driving conditions.Alcohol & Drug PolicyCedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts is committed to maintaining a safe, family-friendly environment at all events.Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited at all CVJO events and activities. Any participant found using, possessing, or distributing illegal drugs will be immediately removed from the event and permanently banned from future CVJO events and activities.Participants who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. Consumption of alcohol is permitted during friends events. No participant may operate a vehicle while impaired or under the influence of alcohol or drugs. No participant will have any alcohol at any road or off road events. Any participant consuming any amount of alcohol is strongly encouraged to utilize a designated driver.CVJO reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is unsafe, reckless, disruptive, intoxicated, or poses a risk to others. Participants removed for violations of this policy may be permanently banned from future events at the discretion of the CVJO Board of Directors.Pets PolicyAll pets must be current on vaccinations, including rabies vaccine. All pets must remain under the owner’s direct control at all times (leashed or crated as appropriate for the environment). Owners are fully responsible for their pet’s behavior, safety, and well-being. Participants must clean up after their pets immediately and dispose of waste properly.CVJO assumes no liability for any injury, damage, loss, or incident involving a participant’s pet, including but not limited to interactions with other animals, people, vehicles, or wildlife. Bringing a pet is done entirely at the owner’s risk. Aggressive, unruly, or disruptive pets may be asked to leave the event.Release of LiabilityIn consideration of being permitted to participate in CVJO activities, I hereby release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts, its board members, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, landowners, affiliates, and event coordinators from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to injury, loss, damage, death, or pet-related incidents that may occur during participation in any CVJO activity during the term of this waiver (May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027).This release applies whether caused by ordinary negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.IndemnificationI further agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CVJO and the released parties listed above from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of or related to my own actions, omissions, negligence, or conduct during any CVJO event or activity, including claims brought by third parties (such as other participants, guests, or bystanders) as a result of my participation.Medical AuthorizationIn the event of an emergency, I authorize emergency medical treatment if I am unable to provide consent myself. I understand I am solely responsible for any medical expenses incurred.Photography & Media ReleaseI grant Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts permission to use photographs, video, or media taken during events for promotional, social media, website, or marketing purposes without compensation.MinorsParticipants under the age of 18 must have this waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Parents/guardians assume all risks and responsibilities for minors participating in CVJO events.AcknowledgmentI have carefully read this waiver and fully understand its contents. I understand that by signing below, I am giving up certain legal rights, including the right to sue.I understand this waiver remains valid for all Cedar Valley Jeep Owners & Enthusiasts events and activities occurring during the period of May 1, 2026 through April 30, 2027 unless revoked in writing.By checking the box below, you are agreeing with all of the above information.
