Camellia Table at Syrup Sopping

Celebrate the connection between gardens and wildlife at the Wildlife Arts Festival, October 24th. This is a short-notice event that I’d like three volunteers for each shift (8:30-12:00 and 12:00-3:30) to assist. We will be providing information on the Helpline, Pollinator Gardens, and performing two hands-on. Sessions working with the public. For the demonstration and hands-on portion we will show the public how to plan out a pollinator raised bed, read plant tags, determine sunlight conditions, hole preparation, and after-care. The hands-on portion will include letting the public plant a few items near the edges of the planting box, and daffodils/poppy seed around the base (I am still working with the Kelly to finalize details). I will be at the event all day and will assist with planting and talks. Helpers can assume as much labor as they are able to do, but I can handle pretty much all of that piece. Contact me for more information at 256-419-3332 or Rebecca.ridley74@gmail.com. This will be our practice and training for the Senior Project. 🎃 All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished piece ready for your porch, table, or garden display.
