Changing The Landscapes CIC promotes outdoor activity for all, especially underrepresented groups. They create inclusive events, foster community, adventure, and accessibility in nature for everyone.

After Glow is a chance to have a chat over a drink with your fellow Glow Riders. We're meeting up in North Bar after the ride, we'll be there from around 8:30pm. Come talk cycling, outdoor adventure and meet some new people. The space we have reserved is limited to 30 people so please book to secure your spot. There are lots of places for bikes to be locked on the opposite side of the road to the bar, and plenty of spots on the pavements and railings nearby. Please bring your own bike lock. Email changingthelandscapes@outlook.com if you have any questions.

After Glow

Light up the night on two wheels. Join our Harrogate Glow Ride for an accessible, family‑friendly bike ride that welcomes new riders, experienced cyclists, and anyone who usually feels the outdoors “isn’t for them.” ✨🚲 Your registration helps us open up outdoor adventure for young people, families, and underrepresented riders. Expect a relaxed pace, friendly support, and a chance to ride together in a safe, visible way that celebrates our community’s right to cycle. The route starts on The Stray, opposite Prince of Wales Mansions @ 19:00. The route will be about 4 miles long, you can check out the route on our socials. There will be marshals to help keep everyone together and in the right direction. We encourage lights, be bright and be seen. Think high-viz jackets, fairy lights, sparkles, glow bands and bright colours. Please wear a helmet. Send us an email at changingthelandscapes@outlook.com if you have any questions.

Harrogate Glow Ride

Join our Knaresborough Wellbeing Walk 🚶‍♀️🌿 to slow down, get outside, and enjoy gentle movement with others. This walk is relaxed and fully supported, especially for people who may have found outdoor activities hard to access before. We intend to follow a route that covers about 4 miles (6.5 km) but has some ups and downs as Knaresborough is quite hilly. Anyone is welcome—no special kit or experience needed. We will go through woodlands, fields, see some of Knaresborough's beautiful historic architecture and finish by the Castle. Sophie will be leading the walk, she has worked as an outdoor instructor and walk leader for the last 5 years. She's a first aider and has great knowledge of the local area. If you've got any questions about attending the walk please let us know. N.B. We will need a minimum number of 4 participants to go ahead, if this number is not met we'll let you know and refund you.
