The Healing Kadi Foundation is a Christian faith-centered 501(c)(3) non‑profit ministry that works with the people of in Kajo Keji, South Sudan to provide sustainable high-quality healthcare, education for local healthcare providers, and psychological and spiritual counseling. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Healing Kadi organizes medical mission trips and supports the doctors, staff and facilities at the HKF Marilyn Miller Memorial Clinic and a hospital under construction in Kajo-Keji. These facilities provide healthcare and support services to South Sudanese residents and returned refugees in an area that was recently the affected by armed conflict and is so remote that access requires a twelve-hour drive in a four-wheel-drive vehicle. Our friends and associate members of Church of the Pacific, Drs. Chuck and Debbie Tomek, are actively involved in this ministry, donating their medical and spiritual gifts during regular mission trips to South Sudan. We support them and the Healing Kadi team of South Sudanese doctors and staff who work full time in this organization to heal the bodies and spirit of the wonderful people that live in this remote portion of the world. Since 2022, the Church of the Pacific has supported them through prayers and monetary gifts that provided solar powered AudioBibles translated into the locally spoken Bari, Modi and Sudanese Arabic languages and distributed throughout the area to people who cannot see or read. Other monetary gifts have helped to purchase a Land Cruiser, which is the ambulance and only transport vehicle, to assist in paying staff salaries when donations were limited, to purchase life-saving malaria medication and mosquito nets, and to provide for a new x-ray machine which is the only outpatient machine in this region. Current funding efforts are focused on the preparation and operation of the new hospital. The building is nearing completion but the equipment, supplies and the staff to maintain this hospital will require increased funding to be sustainable.
