Do you want to make a difference in your community? Interested in becoming a firefighter? Join the Cleveland Hill Fire Department Today! Benefits of Membership:&bull; Join a team of dedicated volunteers serving the Cleveland Hill community&bull; Free Firefighter and EMS Training&bull; LOSAP/Retirement Program&bull; NYS Income Tax Credit or Property Tax Reduction&bull; Member Events&bull; NYS EMT Rapid Recertification Eligible Requirements:&bull; Must be 18 years old&bull; Must have a valid driver&#39;s license&bull; Must be able to meet the requirements of one of our 4 membership categories Membership Categories:&bull; In District Interior Firefighter&bull; Must have a NYS interior firefighter certification or be enrolled in a course within 1 year of joining, and successfully complete the course&bull; Must obtain a First Aid/CPR certification within first year of membership&bull; Must respond to a minimum of 10% of all alarms including both fire and EMS&bull; Attend 2 drills per month while a probationary member, and then 1 drill per month after. &bull; In District EMS Only&bull; Must have a NYS EMT certification or be enrolled in a course within 1 year of joining, and successfully complete the course&bull; Must respond to a minimum of 10% of all alarms including both fire and EMS&bull; Attend 2 drills per month while a probationary member, and then 1 drill per month after. &bull; Duty Shift Programs&bull; For volunteers who live out of the Cleveland Hill Fire District we offer a Duty Shift Program&bull; Instead of responding to 10% of all alarms, a Duty Shift member must participate in 24 hours of shifts per month&bull; Both Interior Firefighter and EMS only membership is eligible for the Duty Shift Program

Our organization relies heavily on the generosity of community members like you to sustain our various activities and initiatives. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight the unwavering commitment demonstrated by our volunteer firefighters in keeping your neighborhood safe. As a fully volunteer organization, our members balance their full-time jobs and family commitments with their dedication to training and responding to emergencies. Last year alone, we answered over 1,100 calls within our district and surrounding areas. As part of our commitment to community engagement, we regularly participate in various events and educational programs. Our fire prevention initiatives include demonstrations for local schools and youth groups, as well as an annual open house. Additionally, we host several events throughout the year, such as a Halloween celebration, &quot;Santa on the Fire Truck,&quot; community blood drives, and food drives, all aimed at fostering community spirit and providing support to those in need. We encourage you to follow our Facebook page for updates on our upcoming events.We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us achieve our fundraising goals this year.
