Across painting, photography, sculpture, collage, video, and textiles, these artists engage the transformative potential of art to explore personal and collective experiences.Many of the works carry histories within their very materials: deconstructed flags, archival photographs, indigo and handwoven textiles, found materials, and objects of personal significance. Others turn to portraiture and the body as sites of dignity and self-definition. Together, they remind us that art can bear witness to difficult histories and lived realities while creating space for joy, healing, connection, and change.Participating artists include Leilah Babirye, vanessa german, Mary W.D.
