Cooper Square Committee

The Cooper Square Committee advocates for affordable housing and tenant rights in the Lower East Side, focusing on anti-displacement efforts, tenant counseling, and creating permanently affordable homes to ensure community stability and diversity.

UPDATE: The new date for the cruise is Tuesday, September 1, 2026. We're rescheduling due to thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds in the weather forecast. If you purchased a ticket, it will automatically remain valid for the new date, and no action is required. All other cruise details—including the time, meeting location, and event logistics—will remain the same. We understand that the new date may not work for everyone. Boat cruise ticket purchases are non-refundable, as they directly support our mission and the work we do in the community. However, we want to be as accommodating as possible and can offer a no-fee transfer of your ticket to another person if you’re unable to attend on August 27. Simply reach out to gala@coopersquare.org. Thank you for your understanding, generosity, and continued support of our organization. We truly appreciate you and can’t wait to celebrate with you on September 1st under (hopefully) drier skies! ***** Step aboard our Boat Cruise Gala to support stable, affordable homes in the Lower East Side. Your attendance helps sustain tenant counseling, anti-displacement organizing, the creation of permanently, deeply affordable housing, and all of our programming. Enjoy an evening on the water while celebrating with neighbors and friends building the housing justice movement. Register below to reserve your spot and help keep our community rooted, diverse, and strong.
