Cottingley Community Centre fosters community spirit by providing a welcoming space for events, activities, and local makers to connect and thrive. We aim to enhance community engagement and support local initiatives through diverse programming.

Join us for our Family Disco! PLEASE NOTE THE CHANGE OF DATE - THIS EVENT WILL NOW BE HELD ON FRIDAY 31st JULY Celebrate the summer with us! Family Disco July

Join us for our fundraising Race NightProceeds from this event will be split equally between Cottingley Community Centre and Cottingley Community Association. &nbsp; Help us celebrate Ascot with our very own race night. &nbsp;Chance to be a jockey (hobby horse provided) and a fancy hat compeition as well as the usual fun at the races in a fun family friendly event. &nbsp;We will be providing some nibbles and the bar will be open to purchase drinks. &nbsp; &nbsp;All Children must have an adult accompany them. &nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">When: Saturday 20th June 6:30-9pm</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Where: Cottingley Community Centre</li></ul>

Race Night

We are pleased to be teaming up with Prime Sports UK (Previously Kids Coaching) to be able to bring you another fabulous holiday sports camp. &nbsp;Various sports, activities and crafts to take part in for 5-11 year olds. &nbsp;Please note we ask that children do not bring devices such as phones or tablets. &nbsp;Please purchase a free registration ticket for each child which will ask for each child&#39;s details and then purchase the dates each child wishes to attend. &nbsp;Tuck shop items are available to purchase at lunch time, please send your child with a small amount of change if they will want to purchase anything. &nbsp; To book your place please book a registration for each child - this is free and ensures you only need to add medical info once per child.&nbsp; Then purchase the days you wish for each child.&nbsp; You will need to click that you consent to each day you are purchasing.&nbsp;&nbsp;

May Sports Camp

We are excited to be able to announce a short course of the drama group funded by In Communities.There will be 3 sessions 11th, 18th and 25th April, you can come to 1 or all of the sessions but coming to all will help as we hope to be able to give parents a little showcase at the end of the last session.&nbsp;Places are free but please book and complete the consent form. &nbsp;Please purchase a registration ticket for each child which will ask for each child&#39;s details and then purchase the dates each child wishes to attend. &nbsp;

Family Disco

A fantastic opportunity for local makers to showcase and sell their products.&pound;10 per table. &nbsp; Cottingley Community Centre does not hold any parking spaces. You may load/unload directly in front of the building but vehicles must be moved and parked elsewhere.&nbsp; Please do not park in residents parking spaces - please check with a member of staff on the day if you are unsure.&nbsp;&nbsp; Cancellation PolicyIf the event is cancelled by the Cottingley Community Centre then a full refund will be given. Notice will be given 48 hours prior to the event where possible. &nbsp;Cancellation of the event will only be done under extreme circumstances if the venue has experienced, flooding, fire, burglary or is deemed unsafe for whatever reason, we would still offer full refund but unfortunately no time scale would be required.If, for whatever reason, the stall holder cancels their booking, the following charges will apply: 14 or more days before event 50% of total cost will be charged &nbsp;less than 14 days before the event the full amount will be charged.&nbsp; &nbsp;Stall Holders Requirement&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Notify Cottingley Community Centre of cancellations at least 48 hours prior to event. Unless deemed an emergency on the day.&nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure that Community Centre Staff are made aware of any spillage made by stall holders and clean up relevant spillage with appropriate materials.&nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;If using wires or equipment, inform Community Centre Staff and ensure that the wires do not cause trip or fire hazards. &nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Any electrical appliances being plugged in must have been PAT tested within the last 12 months. &nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Work with Community Centre Staff with regards to parking and try not to cause disruption to residents in the area by parking appropriately.&nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Clear up on time and ensure that all rubbish is disposed of in the correct manner.&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Stall holders are responsible for the items which they sell, Cottingley Community Centre will hold no liability for faulty or dangerous items sold. &nbsp;&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Promote the event prior to the day through contact etc.&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Stall holders are responsible for ensuring they have suitable 3rd party liability insurance&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Stall holders selling food items must comply with all relevant Food Hygiene Regulations&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Stall holders selling cosmetics must ensure they have the appropriate Cosmetic Product Safety Report&bull; &nbsp; &nbsp;Stall holders selling items such as wax melts and candles must ensure their products are labelled according to the Regulation on the Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) of substances and mixtures. &nbsp;<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Stall holders must ensure that all items are removed at the end of the event. Failure to do so may result in additional charges for stall holders. &nbsp;</li></ul>

Summer Sports Camp

Join us for a FREE community screening of &ldquo;The People&rsquo;s Emergency Briefing&rdquo; 🎬 at Cottingley St Michael &amp; All Angels Church, hosted by the Cottingley Coalition (St Michaels&#39; Church, Cottingley Community Centre, Cottingley Community Association, and friends). The film is 50 minutes long, and you are invited to join us for a discussion afterwards, as well as support and ideas for taking steps towards positive change.&nbsp; The event is suitable for people aged 16 years and above. The film is 12A. The UK faces a growing climate and nature emergency. Yet most people have never been fully briefed on what it means for our lives, our economy and our future. Why it matters nowClimate and nature breakdown will affect every constituency in the country, from health and food systems to infrastructure, security to economic stability. This crisis is more serious and immediate than many understand. There is strong evidence that bold, urgent action will improve lives and livelihoods, but the window of opportunity is narrowing as we delay.&nbsp; About the FilmThe 50-minute film will combine authoritative scientific content from the Westminster event with reactions from members of the public and some more familiar faces - designed to help audiences process the information on a more human level. It will deliver the frank facts about the threats, but also the enormous benefits if Government leads genuine emergency action.&nbsp;
