Council On American-islamic Relations Of Washington State

CAIR-WA empowers Washington's Muslim community through advocacy, education, and civil rights initiatives. They promote understanding, inclusivity, and justice while supporting youth leadership in public life and community engagement.

This workshop will provide Muslim community members with the tools to safely, effectively and efficiently advocate for social justice issues impacting their local community, whether stemming from local or global issues. During the program, attendees will learn the Islamic foundations of social justice, the history of Muslim social justice movements, and the various avenues for continuing such movements, including through law, policy, civic engagement, public speaking, and social media. They will also gain the opportunity to interact with Imams, elected officials, mental health professionals, activists, and other advocacy experts. Vancouver WA Advocacy Day

At this pivotal moment in history, it is clear that there is no going back to how things were before. Instead, we are forging a path to justice for Muslims in Washington and beyond.
