Please help rebuild Gaza's healthcare workforce.Currently we are raising funds to support 2 Gaza medical students: Diala Quadah and Hazem Qeshta1. Diala Hussam Ibrahim Qudah is a 19-year-old nursing student at Al-Azhar University Gaza. She finished her first year with a 'Very Good' average. Her home was also destroyed by the Israeli genocidal war on the people of Gaza. She was sheltering in a mosque when it was bombed; shrapnel tore into her back and leg, and the impact caused her kidneys to fail. She currently lives with her parents, grandmother, and 2 younger siblings in a rented tent in Al-Mawasi, Khan Younis. She has been without consistent medical treatment — and she is still studying. We need to raise close to $900 before September 23rd to pay the back tuition she owes and register for the next semester. Then we will need another $1600 for the coming year's tuition. Please contribute as generously as you can. Thank you.“I chose nursing because caring for others is my true calling.”— Diala, 2. Hazem Qeshta is a 2nd year Palestinian medical student from Gaza studying in Egypt. Since October 7, 2023, over 1500 health workers, including over 140 doctors, have been killed in Gaza. Hazem is determined to develop the best knowledge and skills he can to serve the medical needs of the people of Gaza. Right now he needs to raise $1800 now so that he can prepare for and take the first of 3 exams that will qualify him for further skill development. We cannot help all the people in Gaza. But we can help this young man who is determined to return to Gaza with the highest skill set and medical knowledge possible. . Thank you for your consideration and for your donation.*.Brian *Creative Diasporas is a 501(C)(3) not for profit serving as the fiscal sponsor for this education project. Medical Education Fund for Palestine

“Palestine: Possible Futures” steps outside of the frame of genocidal destruction in Gaza, the settler colonization and violence in the West Bank and the atrocities of Israeli Apartheid. It tells a story of a restructuring of human economic and social relationships. It projects a humanity freed from the mental and physical chains of division by history,, nations, class, ethnicity, religion, skin color, gender, etc. Part fantasy and part absolute necessity if the species is to survive. And the obstacles! Oh yes, the obstacles. Can they be overcome, can the barriers to survival be surmounted. This tiny piece of the planet, populated by less than 14 million people provides a lens to view the future. We are working with Palestinian filmmakers and writers, in Palestine and in the diaspora to develop a unique and hopeful story. Your donation will sustain our staff in Palestine as we develop this film narrative.
